.HRH Goodluck Odimegwu Obi obtained his First Degree B.A (Hons) from the University of Ibadan and his Master’s Degree on Peace Studies and Conflict Resolution specialising on Terrorism and Counter Terrorism. He is presently on his PhD.
Goodluck is the Founder and President of Global Alert for Defence of Youth and the Less Privileged (GADYLP) and the President of a United Nations Oriented Youth network known as United Nations of Youth Network Nigeria (UNOY). Through the track record of Prince Obi, both NGOs had Special Consultative Status with United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) Observer Status with United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) Bonn, Germany and Observer Status, United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification (UNCCD.) The Organizations are also registered with the United Nations Office of Drugs and Crime (UNODC) Vienna, Austria. They are also registered locally with Independent Corrupt Practices and other related offences Commission (ICPC) and Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) etc.
HRH Obi through his NGO, GADYLP had empowered the less privileged, the handicapped, the Orphans, Vulnerable Children, the poorest of the Poor by providing periodic provisions/ paying school fees for the orphans and indigent citizens.
He is a founding member of National Conscience Party (NCP) in 1994 where he is a serving National Deputy Chairman, South East Nigeria.
HRH Obi is also the Immediate Past National Secretary of Nigeria’s foremost Civil Society cum pro- democracy organization- Campaign for Democracy (CD) and is the National Convener, Nigeria Police Force (NPF) cum Civil Society interface in Nigeria.
Goodluck is a Director on the Board of Nigeria Police Mortgage Bank Plc.
