He graduated from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, with B.sc (Hons) Accounting, he has a law degree and Bachelor of Laws LLB (Hons.), B.L. He also has Masters in International Law and Diplomacy (MILD) and PhD in Criminology.
He attended the Advanced Detective Course, CSP ACP and ACP DCP Promotion course, Police Staff College Jos, Plateau State amongst other local and international professional courses.
He has gained over 26 years’ experience in Nigeria Police Force and currently serves as Deputy Commissioner of Police (Budget), former Secretary, Force Headquarters Purchasing and Tenders Board and a Member of Federal Government Losses Committee, representing the Inspector General of Police. He is a member of the following professional bodies: International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP), Association of National Accountant of Nigeria (ANAN), Nigeria Bar Association (NBA), Member, Institute of Cost Management (ICM) and Nigeria Institute of Management (NIM) and a Member, Chartered Institute of Fraud Examiners.
He has also served as the Accountant of Nigeria Police Cooperative Multi-Purpose Society Limited, was at various times 2i/c State Intelligence Officer, Divisional Crime Officer (DCO) Central Police Station, Onitsha, Patrol and Guard Officer, Ogidi, all in Anambra State Police Command, Divisional Traffic Officer, Abakpa-Nike; General Investigation, State CID, Enugu State. He was Account Bills Officer, Group Accounts Division, (GAD), NNPC Headquarters, Falomo, Lagos during his National Youth Service Corps (NYSC).
