DIG Uba B. Ringim is a graduate of the Ahmadu Bello University with a Bachelor’s Degree BA (Ed). He is currently the Chairman, Board of Directors, Nigeria Police Mortgage Bank Plc.
He is a member of the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS) and had served in many Commands and Formations notably DCO, Katsina Division, Admin Officer, Kaduna State Command, 2nd in Command to DPO, Ikara Division, Kaduna State Command, Officer in Charge of general investigation, Kaduna State CID, Commandant, Police Training School, Kaduna, DPO Malumfashi Division, Katsina State Command, DPO Zuru, Kebbi State Command, DPO, Argungu, Kebbi State Command, CSP ‘A’ HQ Sokoto State Command, DPO Gusau, Zamfara State Command, ACP CID Sokoto State Command, DCP Zonal CID Zone 1 Kano, DCP FCT Command, Force Education Officer FHQ Lagos, DCP Anti-Fraud Section Force CID Lagos, DCP Police Cooperative FHQ Lagos, Commissioner of Police Borno State, AIG Force Secretary FHQ Abuja, AIG Zone 12 Bauchi, DIG ‘E’ Department (Training) FHQ, Abuja and DIG ‘A’ Department 2 1/C to IGP. He retired after meritorious service in 2010.
DIG Ringim had attended many courses both locally and abroad and workshops during his career where he gathered wealth of experience in management and administration. Some of the courses attended include the Higher Management Course, International conference on drugs (Lyon, France); Violence free election course; Senior Executives Course, NIPSS, Jos; International conference of Chiefs of Police (Boston, USA); and International conference on democracy and global security (Istanbul, Turkey).
He has also been on several ad-hoc duties including: Member, Presidential advisory Committee on Prerogative of Mercy (November, 2011); Member, Kaduna State Special Investigation Committee on 1992 Zangon Kataf Religious Crisis (1992); Member, Kano State Special Investigation Committee on October 1991 Religious Crisis (1991); Member, Sokoto State Robbery And Firearms Tribunal (1988); Member, Administrative Committee of Enquiry on Kafanchan/Kaduna Religious Crisis (1987).
DIG Bala B. Ringim (Rtd) is a good manager of relationship, with visionary skills. The values he has demonstrated since he assumed office as the Chairman of the Board of NPMB Plc.
He is married and blessed with children and loves photography and playing hockey.
