He graduated from University of Ibadan where he bagged B.Sc. in Political Science before joining the Nigeria Police Force.
He is the Executive Secretary of Nigeria Police Co-operative Multi-purpose Society Ltd. He represents the Society on the Board of Nigeria Police Mortgage Bank Plc. Sholla also sits on the Board of several companies: Nigeria Police Multi-Purpose Cooperative Society Ltd; NPF Micro Finance bank Ltd; NPF Pensions Ltd, Nigeria Police Force Property Development & Construction Company.
He holds Post graduate Diploma in Management from Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University, Bauchi. He has served in many Commands and Formations of the Nigeria Police Force, including the Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge of Operations in Zone 9 Headquarters; Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge of Admin in Zone 10 Headquarters; Area Commander in Ogun, Oyo, Kebbi States. He was appointed by the Police Management as the Commissioner of Police in charge of Pension Office in 2016. He is currently the Executive Secretary, Nigeria Police Multi-Purpose Cooperative Society, Lagos.CP Sholla has attended many courses and workshops both locally and abroad, from where he garnered experiences in management and administration namely:- Training in Citizenship and Leadership, Workshop on recruitment and selection process, Industrial Training Fund Management, Port Security Management Course, London; Higher Management Workshop, ASCON; National Defense Course; Corporate Governance:- Effectiveness and Accountability in the Boardroom, Kellogg School of Management, North Western University, Illinois, USA (Executive Programme), November, 2017; Executive Sustainability and Social Impact Assessment for Micro Finance Bank Plc, Lagos Business School (PAN Atlantic University), December, 2017; Understanding and Interpreting Financial Statements in Accordance to IFRS, Society for Corporate Governance Nigeria, March, 2018; International Workshop for Directors of Banks, Improving Board Audit Committee Effectiveness, Financial Institution Training Centre(FITC) Dubai, United Arab Emirate, May, 2018. CP Sholla David is a prudent manager of resources with entrepreneurial flairs, he is adept in Corporate Governance.
Sholla has many academic write-ups to his credit including: Thesis on Cold War Era. He was the best graduating Cadet ASP in Academics in Police College Ikeja in 1987 and best Intermediate Command Course Essay prize in Police Staff College Jos in 2001. He is a member of International Association of Chiefs of Police, Citizenship and Leadership Training Club of Ibadan and a member Matey Club of Nigeria, Lagos. He is married with children and plays football, table tennis and watching detective and crime movies.
